Google User Data

Moneyball (“Moe”) integrates with Google services via OAuth to provide its core email and calendar assistance features. When you connect your Google account, we access the following Google user data:

  • Gmail: reading messages in connected threads, and composing and sending replies on your behalf.
  • Google Calendar: reading your availability and creating meeting events.

How we use this data. Google user data is used exclusively to provide Moneyball's features to you: drafting and sending emails, scheduling meetings, and surfacing thread context inside the product. We do not use Gmail or Calendar data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except as required to operate the service (for example, our email infrastructure provider Nylas, which processes messages on our behalf under contractual data-protection terms).

AI processing. Email and calendar content may be processed by large-language-model providers (including Anthropic and OpenAI) solely to generate replies, summaries, and suggestions for you. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models and from retaining it beyond what is needed to serve each request.

Limited Use compliance. Moneyball's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Analytics and Cookies

We use analytics services such as PostHog to collect and analyze information about how users interact with our website and application. These services may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your use of our services, including page views, clicks, and navigation patterns. We may also use session replay technology to record and play back your interactions with our services, including mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and page content. Form input values are automatically masked in these recordings. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information and Google user data (Gmail and Google Calendar content) only for as long as your Moneyball account is active, or as needed to provide you with the service:

  • Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is in use so we can continue providing the service.
  • Disconnecting Google: When you disconnect your Google account from Moneyball, we immediately revoke our OAuth access tokens and delete stored Gmail and Google Calendar data within 30 days.
  • Account deletion: On request, we delete all of your personal information, including Google user data received from Google APIs (Gmail and Google Calendar content), within 30 days of receiving the request. Encrypted backups are purged within 90 days.
  • Legal holds: We may retain limited data for longer where required by law (for example, to comply with tax, audit, or legal obligations).

You can disconnect your Google account at any time from your Moneyball settings, or request full account deletion by emailing hello@moneyball.ai.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • The right to access personal information we hold about you
  • The right to request correction of your personal information
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
